Courtney Hawkins Teaching Kids Life Lessons with Football

A 2009 Michigan Emmy winning documentary.

Courtney Hawkins was an All-American football player at Michigan State & played wide receiver for 10 years in the NFL playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers & Pittsburgh Steelers.

He left all that fame & fortune to return to Flint, Michigan his hometown which was just as poor as when he left it fourteen years earlier.

Hawkins is the football coach at Flint-Beecher High School where he made his name on the football field.

He came back to not just coach football but to be that Black male role model that many kids were missing in their lives.

Hawkins is determined to teach life lessons to these kids to better themselves on & off the field.
